Academy Awards atau jamak diketahui dengan sebutan Piala Oscar menjadi ajang awal tahunan yang paling banyak dinantikan para pegiat film internasional. Kemarin malam, tepatnya Selasa waktu setempat, The Academy of Moction Pictures Arts and Sciences telah rampung mengumumkan daftar lengkap nominasi untuk ajang Piala Oscar yang ke-95 tahun 2023.
Pengumuman nominasi dipandu oleh Riz Ahmed dan Allison Williams. Ada 2 film yang mendapatkan daftar nominasi terbanyak pada perhelatan tahun ini, di antaranya Everything Everywhere All at Once dengan 11 nominasi, dan All Quiet on the Western Front dengan 9 nominasi.
Puncak dari pergelaran Academy Awards ke-95 tahun ini akan diadakan pada 12 Maret 2023 nanti. Bertempat di Dolby Theatre Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat. Ajang Piala Oscar tahun ini kemungkinan besar akan menjadi ajang yang ketat, karena nyaris keseluruhan nominasi pada kategori film, aktor, sampai aktris, memiliki keunggulan yang mumpuni.
